WestRidge Cordially Invites You To Our Taste Of Fall Festival!
Homeowner Profile: Marco & Deb Brancato
WestRidge welcomes its soon to be newest home owners! We had an opportunity to ask the Brancato’s to provide an overview of their experience.
Q: Why did you end up joining the WestRidge community?
A: We lived in Norwood, MA for many years and spent a great deal of time driving through various towns looking at 55 plus communities. We fell in love with the long and winding entrance to WestRidge as a start. Once we arrived, WestRidge felt like a traditional neighborhood and made us feel like we had arrived home. The entire neighborhood with its classic homestyles is so unique compared to the other communities we visited. It has a Beacon Hill feeling with its parks and open spaces. This is not your typical “cookie cutter” neighborhood. Continue reading

WestRidge homeowners welcome their new Sales Manager, Ann Sommers
An overwhelming number of homeowners attended a recent event to welcome their new Sales Manager, Ann Sommers, to WestRidge. Although Ann is new to the area, she is not new to the industry. As she moved through the room she was welcomed by all. While the evening was buzzing with the sound of laughter and an exchange of ideas for the community, there was one sad note. A man so many had relied on and inevitably become friends with was leaving to start the next chapter in his life. Bill Mullin toured the room saying farewell to the people and the community he watched grow. In the mix of people enjoying the festivities was Lloyd Geisinger, President of Thorndike Development. Lloyd, along with David Eastridge, our Project Manager and Ben Geisinger, our Assistant Project Manager, were some of the last to leave. All and all it was a pleasant night filled with good drink, plenty of food and an abundance of laughter! Check out more pictures from the event below!
Architectural Heaven: Function and Form

The Dickinson Model at WestRidge
When nationally acclaimed architect Bill Devereaux returned from speaking at the National Council on Seniors Housing Conference, he sent a note to some of his clients. The note stated that the over-55 crowd is looking for some very specific features in their homes: “master suites on the first floor; 2nd level bedroom, bath and loft; big kitchens; exciting, airy interiors; attached garages and great locations.” Hmm, let’s think. Wait, this sounds just like WestRidge! Continue reading

Who Is Building My Home?
This year, Thorndike Development celebrates 28 years of building and selling homes in Massachusetts. Founded in 1983 by Lloyd Geisinger, Thorndike has built and sold over 1,000 homes in Eastern Massachusetts. The company is both the developer and the general contractor for the communities it builds and has been able to assemble both a very able group of loyal subcontractors and a terrific team of Thorndike staff.
But, who are the Thorndike people responsible for building our homes? Let’s take a look. Continue reading
WestRidge Invites Outdoor Living
In the traditional neighborhoods of our youth, it seemed that more of life was spent outdoors rather than in. The design of WestRidge is one big invitation to be outside and enjoy yourselves.
First: every home has its own private outdoor space, be it a patio, deck or enclosed garden.
Then, of course, are the front porches, which are carefully designed to invite conversation with passersby.
Expanding out are the public spaces of the Village Green, Pocket Parks and Meeting House(to be built). There is a full range of clean air activity to be had at WestRidge, from the quiet conversation on a private patio to a rocking concert on the Green.
Finally, the invitation is extended further to the Walking Trails and the many open spaces near WestRidge but in the larger community.
