Washington, DC.  In the Nation! That is right. Thorndike is very pleased to report that its Red Mill Village active adult community in Norton, MA has been named the Grand Award winner as the Best Active Adult community in the nation by Builder Magazine. 

On October 12th, the 26th Annual Builder’s Choice Awards were held in Washington, DC and Thorndike came out a big winner. Not only was Red Mill Village named the premier community for those who have reached 55 years, but the Quaker-style Meeting House also won the top award. 

It is amazing that a small real estate developer in New England has won this national award. For those in the industry, these awards are very prestigious. Basically, the message is that one’s peers think that the design and construction is very special.

But, of course, Thorndike is only satisfied by the “vote” of one constituency—the people who live in the homes of Red Mill Village. Winning awards is wonderful, but there is one true affirmation and that is when the following words are spoken:  “I love my home.”

So, you don’t have to get in an airplane to visit the best active adult community in the nation; it is around the corner in Norton, Massachusetts.  Please come visit.
